You, Your Horse and the Law

In two weeks, I will be at the August 13 meeting of the Fredericksburg Chapter of the Virginia Dressage Assocation talking about Virginia’s Equine Liability Act, a specific law that controls risk assignment within the horse riding community. The flyer is here. You need to register on our Web site.
Whether you’re an occasional pleasure rider, a horse sportsman or woman, a horse owner, breeder or facility operator, you need to be aware of the effects of this law and the duties it may impose on you or your business.
If you live in the area, I hope you’ll come to the Salem Church Library at 2607 Salem Church Road at 7:00. I’d love to meet you, listen to your ideas and concerns, and tell you more about our equine practice.
